Porosity And Other Fluctuations | << |

The body of work shows a
concern with physical elements and their inherent nature to
interact or change over time. The process of one material or
energy acting on another actualizes the change. There is a kind
of beauty in absence as manifested in the decomposing of the
materials and the interacting with organic life around it, a
reminder of the original state of all materials. Our perceptions
are encouraged to drift into an awareness of the processes
taking place, and as we do we recognize a purity and simplicity
that has an intensely poetic quality to its nature. Brass
containers filled with salt continue to corrode. Magnetic sheeting interacts with metal debris. Oxidation
alters the colour of foam arrangements.
